The objective of this WP is to integrate a gender dimension in the project.
Months 13-18
- design a particular gender space in the VWE as an internal discussion forum, enhancing integrity across the different levels within a TA and the four TAs as well (continuous)
- put together in this VWE an annotated bibliography by the help of local GT members based on the WPs in the first 18 months
- go back to researchers in each participating institution on the basis of the results of the previous survey and ask them if they were willing to act as actual contact persons in their capacity as experts on gender experts so that the GT could
- approach WP18 TM to make it possible for PhD students to visit those scholars in a partner institution and develop their project under the expert's guidance
- supporting TM in organising day-care for children
- monitoring the implementation of the gender perspective in the different WPs in the first 18 moths
Months 18-24
- strengthening the cooperation between WP0 and GT
- organizing a workshop for PhD students under the scheme of summer training institute in the summer of 2008
- on the basis of the new WPs to figure out and initiate a gender theme across different levels within a WP or different TAs: via conducting a survey as well as in line with the preliminary reports of each WP due by the end of month 24;
Months 24-30
- monitoring the implementation of the gender perspective in the different WPs
- reinforcing cooperation between WP0, making sure that the evaluation has integration of gender into the actual content of the research project as one of its criterion of evaluation
- updating the annotated gender bibliography
- organizing a workshop on academic career planning for PhD students and young researchers
